Highlight your Program's Recent News with "News & Information"
What's New
- News & Information - Now you can highlight your employee volunteer program's current events by using the "News & Information" feature. Many of you may remember this feature as "What's Happening" in EVS version 1.0. Please contact your account manager to turn on and demo this new feature.

News & Information Best Practices
To get you thinking of ways to take advantage of this new feature, here are some successful examples of how "News & Information" has been used:
- Current events: "Company X was recently recognized as a Points of Light winner."
- Recognition items: "We are proud to highlight Jane Volunteer as Volunteer of the Year."
- Calls to action: “Locate the event titled ‘Disaster Relief in July’ to sign up for a training" or "Please join us in meeting our goal to donate x volunteer hours toward disaster relief."
- Additional volunteer resources: "Can't find a specific volunteer event you're searching for? Use these additional websites to find the opportunity of your choice."
- Inform volunteers on specific FAQ's: "How do I get information on our employee volunteer program?" or "Who can I contact directly for answers?"
- Link to Company blog on volunteerism: Integrate web 2.0 technologies to invigorate your volunteer programs. Have a blog you'd like to link to that talks about your company's efforts? Want to link to a recent YouTube video on your latest volunteer activity? You can highlight these links in the “News and Information” feature.
