I'm Elana Leoni. I came to AngelPoints a little over 2 years ago from college in San Luis Obispo. In college I won a competitive scohlarship for being a "Non-Traditional Business Major" for my work defending human rights with Amnesty International, my passion for business strategy, entrepreneurship, and globalization and my drive to pursue a career in a space which balanced business, technology and an opportunity to make a tremendous change. AngelPoints was a natural stop for me.

My title here is: Marketing Associate, which really says nothing in a small company :)-- just know if you have any questions about the AngelPoints website, press releases, special initiatives, AngelPointers, AP's volunteer program, team manager trainings, or even minute things like contracts, I'm your gal!

I spend a lot of my off time in my home in Bolinas. You'll find me on the beach walking my chocolate lab Mokka, searching for petrified sanddollars and let's not forget surfing!

I also spend my time focusing on the justice system and the environment. I am a mentor to youth who have a parent in incarceration and am learning to conduct workshops in San Quentin to rehabilitate soon to be parolled convicts. I also am a member of the organic consumer association and live a sustainable lifestyle in whatever way I can.

Pleased to be a part of this community and I hope to learn ways in which I can make AngelPoints' employee volunteer program even better ;)

I'm Tracy Ruggles, the "vision guy" here at AngelPoints. My official title is VP of Product Vision -- I'm here to help synthesize the needs and desires of the managers, the volunteers, the shifting marketplace, etc. with the goals and vision we have a business within the larger community.

It's a difficult (but rewarding!) position to be in. I sometimes have to say, "Sorry, we're just not going to do that" or "Yes, that's possible, but it's a bit down the road before we can build that piece of the software". But, I also get the joy of seeing how our software is enabling so many people to do so much good.

Personally, I've always tried to focus on maintaining a balance between creative and technical disciplines with the ability to think strategically at the same time as making tactical decisions and being part of the implementation process. Here at AngelPoints, I do a lot of design, long-range planning, specification-writing, listening, organizing and more. You can thank me (or blame me!) for the look & feel of the new EVS '07... :-)

I do my best to put into practice the principle, "leave the place cleaner than when you found it". From the food we buy at the grocery store to the principle of non-violence, I hope that my "footprint" here on the planet is marked only by the relationships I've built and not by the "stuff" I leave behind.

My pet peeves: wasteful packaging, forest-dessimating junk mail, the vast number of single-occupant vehicles clogging the highways.

My joys: my kids, my guitar, my surfboard.

My name is Jennifer Anastasoff. I spend a very rewarding piece of my time supporting AngelPoints' special initiatives and community outreach and the other very rewarding piece of my time running a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and creating full time corporate "peace corps" programs in companies around the world.

Key pasttimes: Hanging out with friends, Family, dancing, reading, crocodile wrestling, volunteering.

My name is Aaron White and I am a second year intern at Angelpoints. Last summer I had a wonderful time learning about the company, the product, and working closely with nearly everyone across all departments. This summer I have the pleasure of working closely with the marketing team to help with special initiatives and various projects while trying to integrate my environmental interests.

I grew up San Francisco and graduated from Gateway High School in 2004. I plan to graduate from Brown University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies in 2008. I love sports, particularly basketball and baseball, and I've recently taken up boxing. I also love to work, so during the school year I manage a pizza cafe for Brown Dining Services.

Favorite Kitchen Tool: Juicer

What a great resource for all of us! I hope we all take advantage of these forums to introduce ourselves, share ideas and learn from one another.

Posting an introduction gives all of us a personality, a "face." I look forward to reading all of your introductions and contributions to this amazing community.

I joined Andy Mercy, the founder and CEO of AngelPoints, going on 6 years ago now. I had finally made my way out to the Bay Area after threatening to do so for all of the 5 years i was living in Philadelphia and got introduced to Andy right away through a mutual friend. I was looking for an entrepreneurial opportunity with a company focused not only on profits but also social outcomes. For so many reasons, AngelPoints was, and continues to be, the perfect fit.

I'm the COO of AngelPoints, which means that i have my hands in just about everything. i'm incredibly proud of the work of our employees and the accomplishments of our clients. we truly have the ability to "move the needle" in a significant way on causes that are important to all of us and we're just getting started!

When I'm in a meeting I usually introduce myself by saying "HI! I'm www.coorsvolunteers.com and my name is Mary Ann, my extension is 73191.", because I always want my co-workers to know about the software I represent, and it's incredible value to Coors Brewing Company as a resource in driving Community Development and supporting our Corporate & Social Responsibility Program.

I've been an avid volunteer my whole life. It started as a kid cleaning up the park and encouraging my friends to help...finally I landed my dream job at the corporation I worked at for over a decade. Coors has been a wonderful resource for my volunteer efforts, offering many corporate sponsored community service events throughout the year (177 in 2007!).

I started out volunteering for Coors shortly after I got here, and my most interesting accomplishment involved the www.adoptaplatoon.org entity.

I had adopted a soldier to be a pen-pal with and had been sending along all of the cool Coors t-shirts & ball caps that I received as recognition tokens over the years. When my boss found out about it, he had me register my whole team as a sponsor of a full platoon. Eventually, our Coors Veteran's Group found out about this and they invited me to join their employee resource group. Since I was not a real Veteran, I was a little hesitant to join their esteemed group - I'm glad I did, because it offered me a chance to make a real difference in our troops lives.

I set up a program with other major corporations around the country to solicit donations of "comfort items" to be shipped to our troops - simultaneously - I used our internal communications systems to encourage other departments to adopt a full platoon. Before we knew it, we had 32 platoons on our ship list, and our very generous Mail Services team offered to ship the items that I solicited from the partnering corporations for FREE!

We had always sent along the catalogues from the corporations that partenred with us thru their donations and as it turned out, we heard back from the troops that the catalogues were highly entertaining and a great way to relax when they had down time from the front lines.

Great companies like EAS sports drinks, Celestial Seasonings Teas, Stearn's Camping Equipment, Taco Bell (hot sauce), Current Greeting Cards (for Valentines Day & Holiday card drives) and Boulder Runner's Store made very generous donations. Also, our employees were provided with the opportunity to make cash donations to support big-box store shopping splurges for comfort cookies, snacks and soups. Our troops were delighted to receive the unexpected gifts.

Many troops wrote back in thanks for the support, some have phoned us directly from the front lines to say Thank You and others have sent over their military flag, and other items of rememberance for our civilian supporters as tokens of appreciation. One Seargant even came to our Veteran's Day Memorial Ceremony and helped us celebrate our Freedom and our grattitude to all of the military men and women by speaking at our event. He actually pulled from his hat (literally), a worn & tattered letter that one of our employees sent him. He relayed in his speech that he had carried this letter with him into battle day after day as a good luck charm and a reminder that people back home wanted to recognize him for his sacrifices.

I'm loving the AngelPoints software as a web-administrator for Coors because AngelPoints provides the perfect tools for improving ALL of Coors volunteer programs throughout the year. I'm VERY excited for the EVS'07 rollout and I'm thoroughly impressed with the excellent customer service that all of the AngelPoints staff provides.

If any of you other AngelPoints administrators would ever like to brainstorm about events, improving reporting or scorecarding your EVP, I'd love to talk with you!

Thanks to AngelPoints for helping make every morning for me a "rush to work" because I love my job . The software & the AngelPoints staff are a huge part of the fire inside me that pushes me, everyday, to do excellent work!

I’m Martha Delgado, fresh out of college and summer intern with Angelpoints. So far I am enjoying this wonderful experience as an intern with Angelpoints, the staff is friendly and welcoming. On top of that, their philosophy is exceptional and unique in this diverse world of ours.

I graduated UC Berkeley in May 2007 with a major in Political Economy of Industrial Societies; takes your breath away, I know! My concentration was on Globalization and its impact on the Women of Latin America, with hopes of one day being able to help alleviate their problems and provide them with the necessities to live a sustainable life. I am still unsure of my plans after my summer internship…like many of my fellow graduates, but I do plan to return to school. As for now I live with my family in the beautiful wine valley of Napa.

My delights: eating ice cream with my 4 nieces & 2 nephews.

Hi, I am Roger Hancock of AAA. I am a Community Relations guy with 23 years of national leadership experience creating and managing award-winning community service initiatives for corporations, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.

I manage Community Affairs for the California State Automobile Association and I oversee AAA’s volunteer efforts in Northern California, Nevada, Utah and parts of Arizona and Colorado.

Prior to joining AAA, I managed Bank of America’s Points of Light Foundation award-winning volunteer programs from 1985 – 2000. And, I am thrilled that AAA just earned the 2007 Points of Light Foundation Award for Excellence in Workplace Volunteer Programs... considered the equivalent of the “Oscars of Volunteering.”

As a volunteer, I have served two California Governor’s on California’s Volunteer Service Commission; was President of the Volunteer Centers of California; and I earned the “Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award” from the City of Glendale for personally capturing a fleeing felon.

I am a proud USC Trojan where I earned my degree in Public Relations/Journalism and graduated in three years… in order to marry my high-school sweetheart.

I adore my family, I love college football, I love boating & waterskiing, and I enjoy tossing back mugs or bottles of good "Pale Ale."

That's a little about me. Thanks AngelPoints. Thanks for your products and services that have allowed AAA to be so successful with our volunteer program. More importantly, thanks to the people behind the product. You are a terrific bunch to work with.
